At Together Coliving International Real Estate AB our mission is to, in cooperation with other partners, build and own sociable, cost effective and ecologically sustainable apartments for young professionals ages 20-35, many who would otherwise be excluded from the housing market.

Our vision is a well-functioning community where people want to live and reside, and where societies can attract and hold on to young professionals even after their completed education.

WE WANT TO BUILD OUR WAY OUT OF THE POOR HEALTH ASSOCIATED WITH LONELINESS AND LACK OF HOUSING

Severe housing shortages in Sweden and an increasing sense of loneliness are causing escalating physical and psychological ailments. In a study conducted by the Housing Institute (Boinstitutet) in the fall of 2019, one out of every four young adults said they felt lonely. The biggest contributing factor was their housing situation, as it is a tremendous cause of stress. The high cost of rent and long wait times – mean that young adults are forced to live with their parents longer. Loneliness is also an important issue and of great importance for peoples’ quality of life.

COLIVING - A NEW HOUSING CONCEPT

When you co-live in our apartments, home is more than the contents within the walls of your communal apartment. It provides an opportunity to escape loneliness, and live and interact with other people. The whole building is designed around a sense of community, and through carefully designed communal areas and services, residents gain access to a high residential standard and quality of life. Rent includes basic things such as heat, water, and electricity, but also fully furnished housing, top notch Wi-Fi, a local host in charge of cleaning communal areas, and third-party services such as car and bike pools, storage, smart delivery services, etc.; things we know
attract, and create additional value for our target group. These services are provided by our partner COLIVE.

TOGETHER COLIVING IS PARTNERING WITH COLIVE AB

COLIVE is Sweden’s leading residential operator, managing the operation and rental of co-living apartments in Sweden. As operators they have a responsibility to ensure that all residents feel at home and have a sense of security along with a high-quality residency. Through an app, individuals with shared interests are brought together in the same communal apartment. This increases well-being, and people tend to stay longer. Based on the interest in a shared economy, our goal is to provide sustainable, socially interactive, smart, and cost-effective housing.  COLIVE has extensive knowledge and experience in residential design of co-living apartments and possesses specially developed documentation regarding this concept.

OUR BUILDINGS ARE SUSTAINABLE AND COST EFFECTIVE

Together AB will lower the cost of construction through industrial manufacturing of buildings, which will be constructed mainly by wooden prefab modules. In close cooperation with our suppliers and through large-scale ordering, we will be able to lower prices.

The buildings will comply with the goals in Agenda 2030, and beyond our intention to build sustainable and economically reasonable housing for less economically advantaged populations, the concept will also include a strategy for integrated biological diversity.  A roof terrace (or access to land adjacent to the building) will contribute to a “green” roof with plants, garden plots and beekeeping for increased biodiversity. Construction will be energy efficient and, when suitable, solar panels will be deployed to contribute with in-house generated electricity.

By choosing modular construction with wood, without concrete and with footings as the foundation, we lower our environmental footprint. Our aim is to harden as few surfaces as possible, and whenever feasible, construct buildings without basements. Car and bicycle pools will be offered through the operator, which is why we have a very low parking requirement. Our buildings will be environmentally certified.
